Feedback?

So, liek, what does everyone think of my blog so far? No questions about that awesome header image? What about this theme, compared to the others I’ve tried? Content? Of course, I’m sure the computer-related posts are boring, but perhaps one day someone sharing similar frustrations will stumble here and find that kind of stuff interesting. Any requests? Although I haven’t made many personal posts, if that kind of stuff tickles your fancy, let me know and I’ll see what I can do.

BTW, this picture was taken at the Dungen show at Emo’s, by the bassist.

A couple of changes

As some of you may have noticed, comments are now moderated. This is solely due to recent spam comments that have started to come in recently. What a PITA.

You may have also noticed that some posts are now password-protected. This is mainly to limit what anonymous people can read. Posts that aren’t personal will remain public. Right now I have one master password for all password-protected posts. If you’d like the password, just get in touch with me and I’ll be glad to share it with you.

Long live the Impulse!

1989 Isuzu Impulse Turbo – “Handling by Lotus”

The Impulse was sold to a gentleman in Denham Springs, LA (East of Baton Rouge) for $415 and is in the hands of a good owner. He’s going to “fix it up”. He, along with two of his buddies, met me at the Chevron by the Breaux Bridge Interstate exit in an older 4-door Jeep Cherokee with a small trailer and followed me to my mom’s house, where the car’s been sitting for a couple of years. He was so excited – he hopped out of the Jeep, ran to the Impulse and “humped” the front-left corner of it. His two buddies and I man handled it and pushed it onto the ramp after a few tries. It was obvious they had done this sort of thing before. The (flat) rear-left tire was put in the trunk and replaced with the front-left tire. The spare was put on the front-left. Got it? This way, 2 good tires were on the back, for the trip East on I-10. I took a picture of the happy customer with his new toy, which I will add to this post.

Keep up with the progress here:

I’ll add stories related to this car, as well as the ’85, some time. YA RLY. That’s where the autobiography part kicks in. I plan on writing tidbits of information that lead to other things – this reminds me of that, and so forth. Like Wikipedia where there are links to other articles, within the article. It will take some time before things come together, but I’m in no rush.
